In a shocking incident, supervising producer of TV show Ishqbaaz Sanjay Bairagi has committed suicide, according to reports. The telly producer reportedly jumped off the 16th floor of a building in Mumbai’s Malad West’s Silicon Park. Sanjay Bairagi had returned home after playing Holi around 4.30 pm on Friday, the police said. As per the officials, he left a suicide note, which read, "It's my fault. My family is suffering, and I have financial troubles. No one should be held responsible." Residents from the building rushed him to a private hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
The producer had also uploaded photos of himself celebrating Holi on Facebook. However, two hours later, around 6.30 pm, he jumped from the bedroom of his apartment.
Earlier it was thought that he lost balance and fell off the building after suffering a cardiac arrest, but primary investigation revealed that he committed suicide.
Bairagi was suffering from financial crisis, according to a report in Spotboye.
“Sanjay was an efficient worker and was controlling the entire production work. He wasn’t directly reporting to me hence I wouldn’t know the cause of death. We (the team) went to the funeral yesterday and have still not recovered from what we saw”, Ishqbaaz’s producer Gul Khan was quoted as saying to the daily.
Sanjay Bairagi is survived by wife and a 10-year-old son.
In Ishqbaaz, Omkara, Rudra and Shivaay are three brothers who have nothing in common. However, they set aside their differences and strive to maintain fraternal unity.
