Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa look like match made in heaven in their pre-wedding photoshoot
Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen's brother Rajeev Sen is all set to marry TV actress Charu Asopa in June this year. The couple announced their engagement on Instagram, sharing pictures with Sushmita Sen and her boyfriend Rohman Shawl. Now, the pictures of their pre-wedding photoshoot are doing rounds on the internet. For the photoshoot, bride-to-be Charu Asopa is wearing a heavily-embroidered lehenga while Rajeev Sen looks dapper in a grey suit.
Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa's wedding is scheduled to take place in Goa on June 16. The couple has been dating for five months and within the short period of being in a relationship, they have decided to take a plunge. Talking about their destination wedding, Charu revealed that their decision to get married has taken everyone by surprise.
She said, "It will be an intimate affair with just 20-25 people each from our respective families in attendance. Our families had originally zeroed in on a date in December, but Rajeev, during a conversation with me, said that it’s too far. That’s how we advanced the date to June 16. Forget others, even our families were surprised to learn about our decision.”
Charu and Rajeev will have the engagement as per the Christian ritual. She revealed, "I have always dreamt of having a white wedding. So, we plan to have a Christian-themed engagement and I will wear a white gown for it. The idea is to start with white — the color stands for peace and purity — and then add colors to our functions and costumes, with us in red on our wedding day. We will be color-coordinated for all our functions."
Charu Asopa and Rajeev Sen's wedding reception will take place in Mumbai for their industry friends and family. The engagement will take place on June 14.
