Last year, popular Bollywood actress Reema Lagoo, who played the antagonist Mrs Dayavanti Mehta in Naamkaraan passed away, suffering a cardiac arrest. Later, another actress played the role of the antagonist on the show, but soon she departed from the show after a death sequence. Now, latest scoops from the sets of Naamkarann are saying that the show will take a major leap after lovers Neil and Avni will part their ways.
A source close on the sets told SpotboyE.com that a new villain is going to enter Naamkarann. According to the source, Reema Lagoo’s daughter Mrunmayee Lagoo has been approached to play the new antagonist in the show.
Mrunamayee is the daughter of Late Reema Lagoo, who was replaced by Ragini Shah after her untimely death in May last year. Makers have approached her daughter to play the role. She is an actor by profession and has acted in few Marathi films. She also assisted Aamir Khan in films 3 Idiots and Talaash.
Mrunamayee has not accepted the offer so far. But if everything goes well, we would see Reema Lagoo’s daughter becoming the new villain in Naamkarann.
In the upcoming episode of Naamkarann, Vidyut (Karam Rajpal) will be killed by Avni. In fact, she will also die and the story will take a leap of 5 years. Avni will be in jail and an unknown lady (Neena Gupta) will adopt her.
Recently, Sayantani Ghosh who played Neela in the show quit the show shooting a death sequence. She posted emotional pictures and post on social media, thanking her Naamkarann team and especially Mahesh Bhatt for giving her the role.
