The third season of the popular TV show Naagin is one of the most debated topics of 2017. The first two seasons had divas Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan playing the shape-shifting snakes, “icchadari naagins”. The new season that promises to be more exciting and dramatic has found its new face in Sanjeeda Seikh, latest buzz suggests. While there were reports about Anita Hassanandani playing snake woman in Ekta Kapoor’s show, Sanjeeda has bagged the role. The makers are also in talks with Qubool Hai fame actress Surbhi Jyoti who may join the Naagin 3 team as another snake woman.
“Two actresses will be roped in to play naagins, and one of them is Sanjeeda. Talks are on with Surbhi but it is not yet finalised”, a source was quoted as saying to DNA.
On the other hand, Surbhi Jyoti was always on the minds of the makers for the role and, yet the confirmation is awaited. Meanwhile, Ekta’s another favourite girl Anita Haassanandani was also been suggested for the role but the idea was dropped.
Ekta Kapoor’s Instagram post indicated that fresh faces would be debuting on the third season of the popular show. The caption of her photo read, “A new nagin arrives! As we bid Adieu to @imouniroy and @adaakhann from NAAGIN. We welcome the NEW! Will soon reveal my new ‘naagin’ or should I say ‘NAAGINS’ #waitfornaagin3”.
If reports are to be believed than Mouni Roy quit Naagin series as she has Bollywood commitments to look after. She is all set to share screen with superstar Akshay Kumar in Reema Kagti’s Gold. The movie is based on historic event of India’s first Olympic win as a free nation in 1948.
