The actor rose to fame for his stint as Lord Mahadev in mythological tv series Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev. Fans are eagerly waiting for their favourite actor to come back on small screen. Here’s the good news for the Mohit Raina fans. The actor is going to be seen in a never-before avatar on an upcoming entertainment channel, Discovery JEET. It is scheduled to launch in April 2018. The show will go by the name 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897.

Mohit Raina will be playing the role of a soldier named Havildar Ishar Singh. 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897 is fiction show inspired by the real story of 21 brave soldiers of 36th Sikh regiment of the British Indian Army which defended an army outpost at Saragarhi in the North-West Frontier Province against an attack by over 10,000 Pashtun and Orakzai tribals in 1897. The show will be bankrolled by Abhimanyu Singh’s Contiloe’s Pictures Pvt. Ltd. Mohit will be playing the role of a dedicated and loyal soldier who’s ready to lay his life to protect his motherland.
Talking about his role, Mohit Raina told Telly Chakkar, “I have always been fascinated by defence services,as a student of army school was always surrounded by men of discipline n repute.its an honour to play a Hawaldar Who laid is life for his motherland.To look the part was the most challenging task, but the research/creative team has done such a wonderful job. Minuscule details were taken care of, hoping the audience likes the first look and accepts the part.”
