Ludhiana boy Akshay Dhawan wins Dil Hai Hindustani season 2
Star Plus’ musical reality series Dil Hai Hindustani aired its finale on Sunday. The finale of the second season saw much fanfare. After months of competition and race, finally the viewers found their winners. The finale saw four finalists competing for the trophy. Talented singers Radha and Divyansh, Soumya Sharma Akshay Dhawan and The Mountain Souls Ft. Gaurdeep were the top contenders racing for the trophy.
With the grand finale the results were announced. And as reported by us yesterday, the contestant to lift the title of Dil Hai Hindustani 2 is the rapper from Ludhiana Akshay Dhawan. Dhawan was liked by the masses and by the judges as well. His unique sense of rapping and style garnered him much acclaim from all the ends. The judges of the series Sunidhi Chauhan, Pritam Chakraborty and Badshah have been self claimed fans of his work. What always made his style different from others is that his rapping always included social messages for the audience.
Akshay Dhawan is a powerhouse of talent. Not just fans, the jury - Badshah, Pritam Chakraborty, and Sunidhi Chauhan were also quite happy to see this cutie win as the judges are quite fond of him and throughout the show, they have also maintained that they love his style of rapping. The singer and winner of DHH2, Akshay's raps are all about swagger and yet have meaningful lyrics with social messages.
Akshay had impressed actor Anil Kapoor as well back in July when he told him that he would love to launch him in his next production. “It was very entertaining to watch such immensely talented participants from all over the world perform on Bollywood tracks. Rhea (Kapoor) is on the lookout for new rappers for a track in her next movie. I think I’m at the right place; I can help her find some amazing talent through this show.”, said the actor on the show.
