Comedian Kapil Sharma has extended his heartfelt apology to PM Narendra Modi for his angry ‘aache din’ tweet, posted two years back. It so happened that in 2016, Kapil Sharma was in the news for the unauthorized construction in his Andheri property. The comedian later took to social media to tweet to the PM claiming that he was asked by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to pay Rs 5 lakh bribe to make an office in the city and also, questioned the PM saying ‘Yeh hain aapke achhe din’.
His tweet read, "I am paying Rs 15 cr income tax from last 5-year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi," he posted.
Now, Kapil Sharma, who recently got married to Ginni Chatrath last December, has now apologized to PM Modi. The latest episode of The Kapil Sharma Show had Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga star cast Rajkummar Rao, Sonam Kapoor and Juhi Chawla as its guests. At one point of time, Rajkummar and Kapil started to discuss about their recent meetings with PM Modi.
Kapil Sharma asked Rajkummar Rao if Modi had asked about him in his chat. To which, the Stree actor joked and said, "Modiji asked about the guy who recently got married. I asked if he was talking about Virat but then he said Kapil. He asked me to convey it to you that he was remembering him and also looked a little annoyed."
Embarassed by the recollection of the incident, Kapil apologised to Modi for his unacceptable behaviour saying "Modi sahab sorry” with folded hands. The TKSS host also asked his guests to stay away from the controversial topic.
Recently, Kapil Sharma met PM Modi in an inauguration event and took to Twitter to share the special moment and, PM Modi’s reply won our hearts.
