TV actress Surbhi Chandra rose to fame with her character Anika Oberoi in Nakuul Mehta starrer Ishqbaaz. In the show, Surbhi Chandna stepped in to the shoes of a happy-go-lucky girl who falls in love with a millionaire Shivaay Singh Oberoi (Nakuul Mehta). The show went off air, but even before that Surbhi exited from the show. Her sudden departure left her fans enraged and they stormed the social media with hashtags #NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaz. They even criticized producer Gul Khan for dropping Surbhi Chanda from the show. Now, the TV actress is making her return on small screen with the sequel of popular TV show Sanjivani.
Contrary to the rumours, Surbhi Chandna's Ishqbaaz co-star Nakuul Mehta isn't going to be a part of it. The makers are still in the process to zero down on the male lead opposite Surbhi. The auditions are still going on.
According to a SpotboyE report, Sanjivani sequel is going to go on floors in June and it will go on air from July 1 this year. Surbhi is the female lead bu the male lead is yet to be finalised. The original cast of the show Mohnish Bahl and Gurdeep Kohli will be retained in the sequel. They played the role of Dr Shashank Gupta and Dr Juhi Singh in the 2002 show.
Many popular TV actors including Namit Khanna, Shivin Narang, Rahul Sharma and others are being talked with for the male protagonist role in Sanjivani.
Surbhi Chandna made her television debut with a cameo in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She played the role of a deaf girl in Surbhi Jyoti's Qubool Hai. But it was with Ishqbaaz that she rose to fame.
