Ekta Kapoor never offered Prerna’s role to Shweta Tiwari’s daughter? Here’s what the actress has to say
Shweta Tiwari create a noise on the internet during her last interview by claiming that Ekta Kapoor offered Prerna’s role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 to Shweta Tiwari’s daughter. She even went on to say that it was her daughter who rejected the role. However, the television Czarina quashed such reports on Twitter, which later became headlines. Recently, Shweta Tiwari spoke to Hindustan Times and cleared the mist around the matter.
She said, “Ekta never offered anything. It was the Balaji people - we were at someone's house who works in Balaji, at a very prestigious position, and they said, 'If we offer Palak Kasauti will you let her do it?'So I said 'I'll have to ask her first. When I went home I asked Palak whether she was interested, but she said she can't do a daily soap because it involves too many hectic hours and also that she was studying. So that's it!."

Earlier, she said, “I would have told her to go ahead and do it. In fact, everybody was saying, even from Balaji (production house) that she should do it. It was she who said 'No mom, I don't think I can do a daily soap and work day in and day out. I cannot do that at this point in time."
Shweta Tiwari cleared the air that not Ekta Kapoor but someone from Balaji Telefilms casually offered Palak the role, which latter refused. This looks like a clear case of misunderstanding.
Shweta Tiwari played the titular role of Prerna Sharma in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She rose to fame with the TV show and became a household name among the Indian audience. She went on doing many TV shows including Parvarish Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi, Begusarai, Naaginn, however, she is still known as Prerna of KZK.
Palak Tiwari is Shweta’s daughter from her ex-husband Raja Chaudhary. She later married Abhinav Kohli and has a son named Reyaansh Kohli with him.
On the other hand, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 is all set to go on air from 25th September on Star Plus at 8 pm. Recently, the makers unveiled a 25-feet tall statue of Anurag and Prerna in different cities of India to promote the show. Many TV actors and Bollywood actors including Karanvir Bohra, Teejay Sidhu, Esha Deol, etc were roped in to unveil the statue.
