Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Disha Vakani aka Dayaben quits the show? Producer reacts
According to a SpotboyE report, Disha’s husband Mayur claimed that the producer Asit Modi owed his wife some dues. “This kind of interference (Disha’s husband Mayur’s) is difficult to understand. Our show is going well, TRPs without Daya Ben have not been affected. Every other actor is working hard on his/her track and we are converging well. If Disha wants to return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, we will have to see if her comeback will justify the show. Plus, it will have to be on terms and conditions agreeable to Disha and Modi both,” the report read.
When a leading entertainment portal contacted producer Asit modi, he said, “Can't say about the authenticity of that news. I don't know."
When asked about Disha Vakani’s exit, he said, “Maybe true. I don't know about the final decision. My team is talking with her."
It’s been a year and half since Disha Vakani has been a part of the show on a full-time basis. It seems like her return is not happening soon.
