Before making his comeback on television, Kapil Sharma is returning to the film industry as a producer. The actor, who made his debut as a producer with Firangi, is all set to produce his first Punjabi film titled Son of Manjeet Singh. Kapil shared the trailer of the film on Twitter featuring Gurpreet Ghuggi.

Taking to Twitter, Kapil Sharma shared Son of Manjeet Singh trailer and wrote, “Son Of Manjeet Singh - Official Trailer | Gurpreet Ghuggi | Kapil Sharma | Punjabi Movie | 12th Oct”.

Son of Manjeet Singh is also being co-produced by Sumeet Singh and directed by Vikram Grover. The film is scheduled to release on October 12.

Kapil Sharma recently revealed that he will be seen back on the small screen with a Kapil Sharma show. The actor is also reportedly getting back into shape. His fitness trainer recently said, "It will take time, more than a month or two. After Family Time, both Kapil and the channel do not want to take a chance with the concept. They are ideating and hopefully, a positive outcome will come out of it soon."

Kapil's health had taken a toll due to which he had to take a break from the small screen. He now looks visibly heavier than before. After getting back to Mumbai, he even tweeted and briefed about having changed his lifestyle for good.

Earlier this year, Kapil made his comeback with 'Family Time With Kapil Sharma', however, it didn't flag off as expected and it has reportedly gone off air. Many television celebs have supported to Kapil, from Shilpa Shinde, Sugandha Mishra, Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh, to Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Ali Asgar—all have expressed their concerns about his health.
