#MeToo movement has gathered momentum in Bollywood as well as other spheres with many women coming up with their sexual harassment stories. Many A-listers of the entertainment industry were named and shamed as a part of this movement. The latest to be on the receiving end of the backlash is casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who was accused of sexual misconduct by two women. While this movement has helped many women come up with their sexual harassment stories without facing the victim shaming, it has also been used as a conduit to settle scores with someone they dislike.
Talking about the same and lashing out at women who use fake #MeToo stories to bring someone down, former Bigg Boss contestant Kushal Tandon wrote, “Just for the fake metoos...... and fake female bullies”
In the note he shared, he slammed the women who are using #MeToo movement for personal vendetta. This came in light of sexual harassment allegations on Varun Grover, who has urged the anonymous accuser to come out and take a legal action against him. His words fell on the deaf ear as the woman didn’t come out in public nor responded to any of his queries. Fans have maintained that Varun Grover is clean in the matter.
In another tweet, Kushal Tandon wrote, “I feel sorry for all females who have gone trough harassment, I have two sisters too , we should chop those mans dash off, but the world will be more sorry Later on for those guys who are jus getting targeted by fake ones , deep shit”
Recently, Sushant Singh Rajput was also accused of sexual misconduct with his Kizie Aur Manny co-star Sanjana Sanghi. Quashing the reports, Sushant shared the screenshots of his conversation with Sanjana on Twitter. He wrote, “I feel sad to reveal personal information but it seems that there is no other way to state what was, in the midst of this curated and well timed smear campaign. From the first till the last day of the shoot, this is what happened on the Set with Sanjana.”
