Both Bigg Boss 11 and Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 have been making headlines for quite a while now. But when it comes to popularity, Amitabh Bachchan’s KBC enjoys the unbridled viewership when reality shows are concerned. Although, the iconic reality show is now running with its ninth season, its popularity among Indian audience remains unparalleled. The quiz show earned the highest TRP points from September 30th to October 6th, leaving the other popular TV shows behind like a boss!
According to BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council) website, KBC earned 11533000 impressions in its 40th week. It was then followed by Kundali Bhagya, Kaala Teeka, Kumkum Bhagya and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. To our surprise, the eleventh season of Bigg Boss which started on 1st October isn’t on the list!
Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 11 didn’t even manage to secure a spot even in the top five TRP makers of the week. The fact that this season has lesser celebrities than the previous season, may have affected its viewership.
A couple of days ago, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 75th birthday. He celebrated his birthday with the audience and players on the set. During that episode, a special video of his Nainital school days was played which made the actor nostalgic.
