The much-awaited controversial reality show of Indian television Bigg Boss Season 11 was launched with amid much pomp and show. Superstar Salman Khan who is hosting the show for eighth time entered the stage on a bicycle. He performed on a funny version of Bigg Boss 11 whose lyrics were in tune with songs from his films including 'Hangover' from Kick and 'Didi tera dewar deewana' from Hum Apke Hain Koun!. Finally, the host Salman began introducing contestants of this season which included both commoners and celebrities. Here's a complete list of 18 contestants:
1. Hiten Tejwani: Balika Vadhu and Kutumb fame actor Hiten Tejwani becomes first contestant to enter the Bigg Boss house. He performed with his actress wife Guari Pradhan on ''Prem Ratan Dhan Payo''.
2. The host Salman then further introduces four 'padosis' of the reality show- Lucinda Nicholas, Luv Tyagi, Mehjabi Siddiqui and Sabyasachi Sathpathy.
3. Sapna Choudhary: Haryana's popular dancer Sapna Choudhary makes a stunning entry on the stage grooving on a regional song.
4. Sshivani Durga: Salman Khan introduces Self-styled sadhvi Sshivani Durga as next contestant of the season.
5. Priyank Sharma and VJ Benafsha Soonawala: The next two contestants are from reality shows. Splitsvilla fame Priyank Sharma and VJ Benafsha Soonawala performed on the stage on Baadshah's song. They are said to be the lovebirds of this season.
6. Akash Dadlani: Rapper Akash Dadlani enters the show as contestant. His silly banter with the host Salman wins viewers' hearts.
7. Jyoti Kumari: Varun Dhawan welcomes Bihar's Jyoti Kumari on the stage. She is one of the commoners of the show.
8. Arshi Khan and Bandgi Kalra: Salman Khan introduces other two contestants actor/model Arshi Khan and Delhi engineer Bandgi Kalra to the viewers.
9. Hina Khan: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Hina Khan aka Akshara makes an entry on stage singing 'Lag Jaa Gale'. She will also participate in the show.
10. Puneesh Sharma: Delhi's Puneesh Sharma enters the house as a contestant grooving to a number from 'Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl'.
11. Zubair Khan: Son-in-law of an underworld kingpin Zubair Khan enters Bigg Boss house
12. Shilpa Shinde: Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai fame Shilpa Shinde becomes another controversial contestant of this season
13. Vikas Gupta: Web series producer Vikas Gupta followed his foe (Shilpa Shinde) to the stage. Both got engaged in war of words.
