Kapil Sharma made a comeback on small screen after a hiatus of seven months and now reports of his show going off air started surfacing. Kapil’s show Family Time with Kapil Sharma is reportedly put on hold and series of cancelled shoots are said to be the reason for it.
Buzz is that fresh episodes of Family Time with Kapil Sharma will not be shot, and previous episodes will be retelecasted for time being. And if reports are to be believed channel is also planning to replace Kapil’s show with another comedy show.
According to DNA, an inside source related to the show said that the channel will soon bring another show in place of Kapil’s show. The source said, ‘’The channel needs to bring in another show in its place, especially since a rival channel has launched Khichdi in the same time slot. Also, the Indian Premier League (IPL)is underway. If they don’t launch a new show in that slot, they are in danger of losing that to another channel.”
Meanwhile, the creative director Preeti Simoes said, “We are busy with Dhan Dhana Dhan and haven’t been approached.”
It is said that Kapil’s arch rival Krushna Abhishek has been approached for a show. A source also revealed that Krushna and stand-up comedian Bharti Singh are uniting for a new show. The source stated, “The two stand-up comedians are collaborating for a new show.”
Krushna had replaced Kapil previously also. Notably, Kapil was recently in news for all the wrong reasons. Kapil made headlines when he allegedly went on an abusive twitter rant for journalists after Salman Khan's verdict in blackbuck poaching case recently.
