Anup Jalota is a name synonymous with bhajans in India. The Padma Shri awardee is popular for his ghazals but mostly for his bhajans. After hogging the limelight in Colors' show Bigg Boss Season 12, the popular singer appeared as a guest on India TV's popular show Aap Ki Adalat, where he spilled the beans on his relationship with Jasleen. He spoke openly on many things and defended himself against several allegations. Along with it, he also entertained audience with his songs. Anup Jalota began the talk show with a song which fits the bill for him, especially in the current scenario. When India TV's Editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma asked why is he alone today (hinting at his jodidaar Jasleen Matharu), he quickly responded: ''I have my first wife with me (pointing at harmonium). He then sings, 'Kuch To Log Kahenge'. On allegations of ruining his own image, the bhajan samrat said, ''I am not a saint, am an artist, a common man like you all. People have wrong image of bhajan singers. They want people singing devotional songs to carry kamandal. My image hasn't been tarnished.'' He vehemently denies having any kind of relationship with Jasleen Matharu. ''I was initially reluctant to participate with her in the show but after her insistence, I agreed,'' he said. Anup Jalota said Jasleen has been his music student since last 3 years and he wanted to enter the show as 'guru-shishya' but everything got changed at the last minute. Clarifying about lovey-dovey Bigg Boss promo, he said it was for entertainment purpose. ''I will do her kanyadaan along with his father,'' he further added.

Anup Jalota, Jasleen Matharu's 'scripted' date in Bigg Boss 12
Talking about the peck which Jasleen planted on his cheek in Bigg Boss house, Anup Jalota called it 'fatherly kiss'. He also said that the date sequence of the show was scripted. ''Makers approached us and organised a date asking us to make it special,'' he said. He calls the part a 'drama' which was purely for 'entertainment' purpose. He denies deceiving his fans. Anup Jalota knows about Jasleen Matharu's B grade movies
Anup Jalota confirms knowing about Jasleen Matharu's work in B grade movies, which were made by her father. '' I have nothing to do with the background of my students, I can teach music to even Rakhi Sawant,'' said Anup Jalota. He then goes on to talk about his gurukul where he teaches music for free. When a lady in the audience questioned the bhajan samraat about Jasleen's father and his interviews, Anup Jalota said he has cleared the misunderstandings and now they have decided to do her kanyadaan together.
Anup Jalota 'suffered financial loss' due to Bigg Boss 12
Anup Jalota sportingly shares a meme made on him, making the audience laugh. He criticised Bigg Boss contestants for sleeping late at night. He then goes to confess that he has suffered financial loss after participating in Bigg Boss 12. The bhajan singer claimed to have helped Kanika Kapoor, Richa Sharma, Jaspinder Narula, Udit Narayan in their singing careers. Anup Jalota also refuted several allegations including the one by Isreali model Rina Golan and asked for proof.
