Star Plus’s comedy reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge got its winner. The comedy show, which has given stellar comedians to the country, finally comes to an end. For the uninitiated, comedians like Raju Srivastava, Kapil Sharma and Bharti Singh rose to fame with this show itself. Bharti Singh was also seen in the judges’ panel at the grand finale.

This year, the comedy show roped in Akshay Kumar as the superjudge while Sajid Khan and Shreyas Talpade co-judging with him. However, talking about the TRP, this season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge didn’t recreate the magic, like its predecessor.

The cast and crew have wrapped up the shooting of the fifth edition. The team shot for the finale on December 19, 2017. The episode will be aired on television after few days.

According to Telly Chakkar, Abhishek Walia has won the sixth season of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. The young boy’s trademark style of comedy while performing is keeping a poker face while churning out jokes. The comedian already has a number of fans on social media. His victory is not a surprise for the followers of the show. After winning the show, Abhishek now stands among the likes of Kapil Sharma and Bharti Singh.

The Great Indian Laughter Challenge has courted controversies many a times during its course. First, it replaced the mentors Mallika Dua, Zakir Khan and Hussain Dalal after the whole Mallika vs Akshay controversy. Mallika’s father and renowned journalist was infuriated by Akshay Kumar’s bell remark on his daughter.

Later, it made headlines for a joke on Prime Minister Narendra Modi which was censored by the Indian government.
