SS Rajamouli’s RRR schedule postponed for three weeks as actor Ram Charan injures his ankle
Ever since filmmaker SS Rajamouli has announced his next period drama RRR, starring Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt, fans have been waiting for it to hit the big screen as soon as possible. However, the latest reports reveal that cinephiles have to wait a little longer for RRR as the film has been put on hold for three weeks as actor Ram Charan has injured himself. It is reported that at the Pune schedule of the film, Ram Charan hurt his ankle which is why the shooting stands cancelled.
The official Twitter handle of the film revealed the news to its fans and wrote, “We regret to mention that #RamCharan confronted a minor ankle injury while working out at the gym, yesterday. The Pune schedule has been called off. Back to action in 3 weeks! #RRR.”
Just a few days ago, filmmaker Rajamouli and actor Ram Charan and Jr. NTR flew away to Vadodra, Gujrat to shoot for the magnum opus RRR. Jr. NTR shared a picture of their boarding passes on the social media and wrote, “Off to a flying start! Big schedule ahead. " With this, the RRR team kickstarted the shooting of their ambitious project. Check out the post here-
Rajamouli’s RRR is said to be the biggest film with budget even more than the Bahubali series. According to the reports, while Alia Bhatt has an important role to play in RRR, Ajay Devgn will appear for an extended cameo in the film. The actor will be seen in the flashback scenes. A while back, the filmmaker even revealed the plot of his film. "This is a fictional story set in 1920s pre-independent era. Most of us are well aware of the stories of Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. We know they are popular freedom fighters and were fearless. What most of us don't know is that there are gaps in the lives of these revolutionaries that we don't know about. We don't know what happened in their lives in these years," Rajamouli said.
RRR will release in theatres on July 30, 2020. The shooting will be wrapped up by the end of this year.
