Besides Bollywood celebrities such Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma, several Tollywood stars have come out to mourn Sridevi’s untimely and shocking death. The veteran actress breather her last at the age of 54 in Dubai following a cardiac arrest. Sridevi, who was last seen in the film Mom, has made her film debut with Telugu movie Maa Nanna Nirdoshi as a child artist. The legendary actress has acted with stalwarts such as NT Rama Rao, A. Nageswara Rao, Sobhan Babu, Krishna, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh.

Here’s how Tollywood stars reacted to Sridevi’s death.

Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth, who also starred with Sridevi in films such as Chaal Baaz, tweeted that he was "shocked and disturbed."

Kamal Haasan

Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan reacting to legendary actress Sridevi's sudden death expressed his shock on Sunday morning. Taking to Twitter, the Tamil actor recalled his work with the late actress. 

"Have witnessed Sridevi's life from an adolescent teenager to the magnificeint lady she became. Her stardom was well deserved... Sadma's lullaby haunts me now. We'll miss her," said the actor. 

K Raghavendra Rao 

“I had directed her in 24 movies. Probably no director made such number of movies with one actress. We were just talking about working together to round off 25. She was my good friend. She was like a family member”, tweeted the director.

Ram Gopal Varma 

Never hated God more than today ..The bastard just extinguished the brightest of lights ..my heart goes out to Boney Kapoor. Is Sridevi really dead? Can somebody wake me up and tell me that it’s just a bad dream? Can somebody tell me how in hell can she just go away like that???

With her death Telugu film industry lost a versatile actor, several characters she depicted in many films would be remembered forever," said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in his condolence message. Movie Artists Association (MAA) former president Murali Mohan mourning her death demanded that Sridevi must be honoured with Dada Phalke Award. 

Senior actress Jamuna said that Sridevi is an icon of South Indian film industry. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu also condoled the sudden death of Sridevi.
