Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu upcoming film Maharshi, which is his 25th film in the industry, will release on April 25 as per the schedule. The makers confirmed the news on Tuesday. Earlier, there rumours that Maharshi might postponed to May or June, however, the makers put down the reports and confirmed the released date. In the statement released, the makers said that the film’s shoot is currently in its final leg. Only two songs are left to shoot, post which the film will be officially wrapped up by March 15.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on his Twitter, “Mark the date... Mahesh Babu's new film #Maharshi to release on 25 April 2019... Filming [except two songs] will be completed by 15 March... Costars Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh... Directed by Vamshi Paidipally.”
Maharshi also marks the first collaboration between Mahesh Babu and Paidipally. The director is best known for helming films like Oopiri and Yevadu. The film also stars Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in important roles. The music for the film has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Rumour mills were also churning that Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi will be based on some international series. However, Vamsi confirmed that such reports are baseless when a fan pointed it out to him. Maharshi will be bankrolled by Dil Raju and Aswini Dutt.
