Devadas First Look: Introducing Nagarjuna and Nani as Dev and Das. See picture

Filmmaker Sriram Adittya is making all the noise on the social media for bringing the two A-listers of Telugu cinema Nagarjuna and Nani in a same film. The ambitious project is titled Devadas and is now trending on the Twitter. It also features Rashmika Mandanna and Akanksha Singh in important roles. On Tuesday, Nani and Nagarjuna released the first look poster of the film. In the picture, both Nani and Nagarjuna are wasted, while the latter passed away with a liquor bottle and a gun in his hand.

Going by the first look, we can deduce that Nagarjuna is playing an alcoholic gangster in the film while Nani plays a doctor. The characters are named Deva and Das, hence the title Devadas.

Devadas is bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies and is slated to release on September 27 this year, as mentioned on the poster. There is a lot of buzz around the movie as two biggies have joined hands for the first time.

In a recent interview, Nagarjuna spoke at lengths about Devadas. He said, “This new film that I am doing with Nani is very much in the Rajkumar Hirani territory. I play a gangster and Nani plays my doctor. It is a very warm-hearted funny script. And I have a feeling director Sriram Adittya will make something special out of it."

Also, Devadas was the title of Nagarjuna’s father Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s hit film.
