A major fire broke out at famous Annapurna Studios at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad. The Tollywood's famous studio has sets of Akkineni family's Manam and Chiranjeevi's period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. It was only yesterday, the Akkineni family hosted a lavish reception for the newly-wed couple Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.The fire reportedly occurred between 5.30 pm to 6 pm on the sets of two films
One set, which was a beautiful house was constructed for blockbuster Telugu movie Manam, featuring three generations of the Akkineni family. Another set was for Chiranjeevi's upcoming movie on legendary freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy'. The movie also features megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Reports say that short circuit caused this massive fire. Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot but got late due to peak hour traffic. The sets made of wood caught fire rapidly, however, no casualties have been reported so far.
