5 Things you should know about Rajinikanth starrer Kaala

Much-awaited Rajinikanth release Kaala has already hit the theatres and how. Praises applaud, and wishes have already started pouring in for the phenomenal work of the actors and filmmakers. The movie is even heading the trends at places where it has not even seen the daylight in theaters, and why not when we have superstar Rajinikanth playing a negative role with such hero-like personality. Kaala is based in the backdrop of Mumbai's Dharavi and is a gangster flick. 

While the world is going crazy over Rajnikanth starrer Kaala, we bring you 5 things you probably didn’t know about the much-anticipated movie.

Kaala set was one of the biggest among biggies

The set, according to the makers was 1-1.5kms long. Pete Draper, who looked after the VFX of the movie, hoped that the audience would not be able to tell the difference between the real world and computer-generated imagery (CGI). Makuta co-founder and CEO, Draper, has worked in big blockbusters Eega, Ghajini, Magadheera, Endhiran, and Baahubali. 

Kaala is a trilingual film

The trilingual movie also features Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, actor-director Samudrakani and Eswari Rao among others. The film released today. Check the LIVE UPDATES 

Kaala has its own Twitter emoji!

Twitter honored Tamil superstar Rajinikanth with a special emoji for Kaala. The users can get the specially designed emoji by tweeting #Kaala. The emoji appears next to the hashtag in the tweet and is inspired by Rajinikanth's character from the film. A marketing collaboration between Wunderbar Films Private Limited and Twitter, the emoji aims to delight Rajinikanth's fans on Twitter by adding colour to the conversations and helping them connect to his character instantly. The emoji will be active till June 10 only. SO, make the most of it, all you Thalaiva fans!

Kaala controversy

There was a Rs 100-cr defamation suit against actor Rajinikanth for allegedly portraying S Thiraviam Nadar in a 'negative light'. However, Tamil film director Pa Ranjith denied that allegation and said that Kaala was a fictional story, not based on anyone.

Posters and teasers dazzle everyone

Ajay Devgn shared a dazzling poster of Pa Ranjith film. He took to Twitter to release the fresh poster and wrote, “Rajini Sir's Kaala #KingOfDharavi in Hindi on 7th June.”

The Kaala trailer created quite a storm on social media. It already has been viewed more than 9.5 million times. Watch here-
