2.0 Worldwide Box Office Collection: Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar's film earns Rs 500 crore in 7 days

Filmmaker S Shankar's 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has set the box office on fire. The film continues its winning streak and is going strong even on the weekdays. Joining the big league, the sci-fi film has now collected a whopping Rs 500 crore worldwide in seven days. 2.0 is currently at number 12 position in the list of highest grossing Indian films of all time right behind Dhoom 3 but will soon surpass the 2013 Aamir Khan starrer.

Karan Johar, who presented the Hindi version of 2.0, wrote on Twitter to celebrate the film's success. He wrote, “A box office PHENOMENA!!!! 500 crores worldwide!!!!! We at @DharmaMovies are so proud to be associated with the HINDI version of this movie marvel!!!! @shankarshanmugh #RAJNISIR @akshaykumar @LycaProductions.”

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted about the worldwide figures of 2.0.

2.0 Hindi Version Box Office Collection

The Hindi version of 2.0 is also raking in the moolah at the box office. “#2Point0 continues its winning streak... Maintains a super-strong hold on weekdays... Thu 20.25 cr, Fri 18 cr, Sat 25 cr, Sun 34 cr, Mon 13.75 cr, Tue 11.50 cr, Wed 9.50 cr. Total: ₹ 132 cr. India biz. Note: HINDI version”, trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced.

Furthermore, 2.0 has set new benchmarks:

* Is now second highest grossing *Hindi dubbed* film, surpassing *lifetime biz* of #Baahubali [first part].

* Rajnikanth’s highest grossing film ever [#Hindi].
* Will emerge Akshay Kumar’s highest grossing film today

The film is directed by S Shankar and it is reportedly made at a Rs 600 cr. The fim is appreciated by the audience for its visualisation as it is shot in 3D format.
