2.0 Worldwide Box Office Collection: Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar's film earns Rs 290 crore in 3 days

S Shankar's 2.0 is performing exceedingly well at the worldwide box office as the film has almost hit the Rs 300 crore mark in three days. The film stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in lead roles. After having raked in Rs 100 crore right on the first day of release, 2.0 has now gone past Rs 200 crore at the box office and will soon reach the Rs 300-crore mark, according to trade analyst Ramesh Bala.

2.0 creates history at international Box Office

2.0 has, so far, earned a gross collection of Rs 290 crore worldwide which includes Rs 85 crore from international markets. 2.0 has also crossed the $3 million mark in the US and has turned out to be the first ever Tamil cinema to do so in the North American market. Director Shankar’s graphic-backed 2.0 is on collection spree and is creating new records on the way.

2.0 Hindi Version Box Office Collection

Meanwhile, in India, 2.0 is performing well in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, East Punjab, Bihar and Central India, where South Indian films usually struggle to perform, according to a report by Box Office India. The report further stated that the sci-fi movie managed to get average collections in West Bengal and Mumbai. The film is likely to perform well on its first weekend.

The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 imparts a universal message that the world is not just for humans but for other living beings. The film stressed the harmful effects of radiation from mobile phone towers have on birds.
