2.0 is just a day away from its release. The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer is releasing on 28th November under a special release on Thursday. The advance booking for the film has already started and at many theatres, the shows are already housefull despite the hiked prices. Given the fact that 2.0 is made on a mammoth budget of Rs 500 crore approximately, the question remains that will this Shankar directorial become a success at the box office? Or will it meet the Thugs of Hindostan fate, the film which was equally anticipated in the year 2018. As per the film trade analysts in India, 2.0 is expected to easily shatter the opening day records of Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan.
2.0 in legal trouble ahead of release; complaint filed against Rajinikanth for promoting anti-scientific attitude
2.0 is releasing in 3D in 15 languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam among others in dubbed versions. It is the most expensive film Indian cinema has ever made. According to the early estimates and citing the pre-booking in the theatres, 2.0 will easily earn around Rs 70 crore on its opening day at the box office, beating Thugs of Hindostan’s record which earned Rs 52 crore on its opening.
2.0 will release on a massive screen count of 10,000 globally. It has broken Baahubali 2’s record, which released on 9,000 screens. 2.0 will have around 32,000 shows across India in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. In some cities, the first show will start as early as 4 am. According to Ramesh Bala, 2.0 has already earned around Rs 120 crore in its pre-bookings.
