Karan Johar-led Koffee With Karan is all set to commence with its 8th season on October 26 and fans of the show are super-excited for the new season. However, several videos of previous seasons are trending high on social media. One such video which is doing rounds on the internet is of Salman Khan from the fourth season, wherein the actor can be seen claiming that the role of Aman in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the second lead in the film, was rejected by Saif Ali Khan and Chandrachur Singh despite no projects in hand. He even said that he did the role as he saw 'talent' and 'genius' in the debutant filmmaker at that time. The film was headlines by Shah Rukh Khan alongside Kajol and Rani Mukerji.
Watch the viral video:
In the video, host Karan can be seen saying, ''I remember the first time I ever came to your zone to narrate my first film to you. Saif and Chandrachur had said no to the role. And you said that no one’s going to do your role, you come and meet me tomorrow.''
In reply, Salman said, It was not difficult for you to get a Shah Rukh Khan in the film but it was very difficult for you to get this casting because Saif at that point of time was doing nothing. Chandrachur was doing nothing. Even they refused it. I did it, Karan. I saw talent, I saw genius in you. And after that you never worked with me.''
Reacting to the viral video on Instagram, Chandrachur Singh wrote, ''Jhooth Salman Ka.'' A user on the platform asked Chandrachur about the lie in Salman's statement.
Explaining his comments, Chandrachur wrote, ''Mere paas Josh, Daag The Fire, Kya Kehna, Silsila Hai Pyaar Ka, etc. This. I made a choice.''
However, the actor later deleted his comments from Instagram but in no time the screenshot of the same was available on Reddit.
