Hirdesh Singh or better known as Yo Yo Honey Singh was born in Hoshiarpur, Punjab to a Sikh Family. In a career span of 14 years, Honey Singh has delivered superhit songs which every age group can bump to. The 36-year-old has received ETC award for the best sound in 2006 for his song Glassi, he was also awarded by PTC for Best Punjabi Music Director in 2011. Later his song Lak 28 Kudi Da with pop star Diljit Dosanjh reached number 1 in the BBC Asian Download Charts in May 2011.
Honey Singh topped the charts of trending videos of 2012 and earned two places on YouTube list of top 10 trending videos for songs Brown Rang and High Heels.
He has been reported as the highest-paid artist when his song Angreji Beat featuring Gippy Grewal was taken for Saif Ali Khan's film Cocktail. Honey also produced songs for Shah Rukh Khan's film Chennai Express and Akshay Kumar's Boss to name a few.
