Netizens relate Bigg Boss OTT fame Urfi Javed to Javed Akhtar; Shabana Azmi clears the air
Urfi Javed was the first Bigg Boss OTT contestant to be eliminated from the show. She had no connection in the house as her partner Zeeshan Khan chose Divya agarwal over her to build a connection. Now, the social media influencer has once again grabbed headlines after netizens linked her to veteran lyricist-screenwriter Javed Akhtar. Trolls online have called Urfi, as Shabana-Javed Akhtar's granddaughter and are mocking the former BB contestant for her revealing airport look.
To clear the air, Javed Akhtar's wife-actress Shabana Azmi stated that former Urfi isn't related to them. In a tweet, the veteran actress wrote "Urfi Javed is not related to us in any way." Speaking about the same, she told a news portal, "It's really funny that people are connecting me with Javed (Akhtar) because of my last name."
Coming back to Urfi's airport look, the 24-year old was seen in a denim crop jacket paired with bralette and blue jeans. Netizens slammed her calling it a publicity stunt. Reacting to which, Urfi told BT, "I would have gone without clothes if I needed publicity. It’s just who I am, and if that creates publicity then good for me. There is so much more to me than my clothes! Why don’t people talk about me as an individual? I have realised that no matter what I post, people will say things. Be it a bikini or a salwar-suit, there are nasty comments always."
Meanwhile, after stepping out of the house, Urfi spoke about Zeeshan on social media platforms which did not go down well with his well-wishers. Later, when Zeeshan got eliminated for violating the rules of the Bigg Boss OTT house after indulging in a physical fight with Pratik Sehajpal. Urfi, again, had taken to social media to express her happiness on Zeeshan's elimination.
