It certainly has struck the many fans of Taapsee Pannu that why hasn’t the actress graced the Koffee With Karan couch despite so many good films she has delivered. If not the commercial actress, Taapsee Pannu is definitely the one who has made headlines for her content-driven films. It has always surprised us why she hasn’t debuted on the popular talk show while likes of Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have been there after one film itself. In the finale season of Koffee With Karan, Vir Das joked about the pink interiors of the set and said, “There’s so much pink in this set that Taapsee Pannu tried to act in it.”
Taapsee Pannu took notice of his joke and replied to him in her tweet, “Hahahahha nice one. Just that Taapsee still doesn’t qualify to be there. I am looking forward to seeing this episode. All you guys are hilarious.”
This might be just Taapsee being funny, but we can’t stop wondering if the Mulk actress has taken a subtle jab at Karan Johar for favouring only star kids.
Taapsee Pannu also recently spoke about how Pati Patni Aur Woh makers have got her out of the film only to take a star kid (Ananya Panday) on board. She said, “I was at the narration in November, in the presence of Juno and Abhay (Chopra, the producer). I liked the script and gave it a go-ahead. I was asked to clear my schedule and I complied. Only the clauses remained to be negotiated. But suddenly, they vanished."
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu will be next seen alongside Bhumi Pednekar in Saand Ki Aankh. She will also be seen in Amitabh Bachchan starrer Badla that is releasing on March 8.
