Farah Khan faces heat on Twitter after Sajid Khan’s sexual harassment allegations
Soon after famous Bollywood filmmaker, Sajid Khan got accused of sexual harassment, sister Farah Khan took to Twitter to extend her support towards the victims and women and said that she stands against the wrong. The choreographer-director expressed how shocked she is about to hear about her brother and wrote, “This is a heartbreaking time for my family. We have to work through some very difficult issues. If my brother has behaved in this manner he has a lot to atone for. I don’t in any way endorse this behavior and Stand in solidarity with any woman who has been hurt.”
While Farah thought she would be praised for standing up for women, Twitterati had other thoughts in mind. Moments after her tweets, netizens showered her with messages asking her to take down the picture she had posted with another accused actor Nana Patekar and not act like a saint. On Thursday, actress Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay have accused filmmaker Sajid Khan of harassing them. Also, Ungli actress Rachel White shared a harrowing account of molestation and harassment at the hands of Sajid Khan in a Twitter threat. She wrote, “I believe you @redheadchopra I was sent by my agency then to meet Sajid Khan during Humshakals. Right after my agency told me about the meeting Sajid called me within the next 5 mins and said the meeting would be at his house opp iskon Juhu."
The aftermath of it, Khan has stepped down as the director of his upcoming film Housefull 4 starring Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde.
