Los Angeles: Actress Zoe Saldana got emotional while paying tribute to her mother, Asalia Nazario, during a surprise party, which was filmed for a TV series.
The video will feature as part of AOL Originals' "My Hero”, which premiers Friday, reports eonlone.com.
Saldana shared the video on her Twitter page Thursday where she and her sisters - Mariel and Cisely - have said touching words about their mother.
The show, focuses on celebrities and the people who've helped change their lives for the better.
"You are the ultimate rock star because you became my friend, because you showed us your humanity when we were too young to understand," Saldana said in the video to her mother with tears in her eyes. Her mother was also seen getting emotional.
"We got it and I'm so grateful for that. So, thank you," added the 36-year-old who is expecting twins with husband Marco Perego.
The "Avatar" actress' father died in a car accident when she was nine.
