London, Jul 27: The estate of the late Amy Winehouse is growing following her untimely death on Saturday at the age of 27, but her ex-husband won't get any part of it, according to a new report.
Britain's the Daily Mail reported on Monday that Blake Fielder-Civil, Winehouse's currently incarcerated ex-husband, whom she divorced in 2009, was left out of her will.
A friend of the late musician told the paper that Winehouse put her affairs in order following her split with the man she once referred to in a televised performance at the Grammys as “my Blake incarcerated.”
“Around the time of the divorce, all of Amy's finances were sorted out – and Blake can't get his hands on any of it,” the source said.
Instead, her wealth, rumored to be now more than $16 million, is expected to be split with her family – Mitch, mom Janis and her older brother, Alex.
Winehouse's family said farewell to the “Rehab” singer on Tuesday in London.
According to the UK's Mirror newspaper, Winehouse's father, gave an emotional eulogy and told mourners she had “conquered” her drug addiction, adding she was, “trying hard to deal with her drinking.”
He reportedly ended his eulogy by saying, ““Goodnight, my angel, sleep tight. Mummy and Daddy love you ever so much.”
