Mumbai, Dec 4: Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise seems to have smitten by Bollywood. The actor, who is on a promotional spree for the fourth installment of the ‘Mission Imposssible' series in the city, said he would love to act in Hindi films.

“I love watching Hindi movies. There are many Hindi movies that come out every year but I do watch a few of them.  (If offered a Bollywood film) I would never say no. I would love to do it,” the 49-year-old actor said here.

He was speaking to reporters after screening of the film ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' which was held at IMAX in suburban Wadala and was attended by about 1500 people this evening.

“I'm honoured and privileged to be in India. I loved being here. The atmosphere, the people here are very nice. I'm happy with the love and appreciation I'm getting from my fans over here. India is an amazing place and I will definitely love to come again,” he said.

In a pointer to the fact about Bollywood's growing global clout, the actor said, “India is a huge market (for English movies) and as I have said before I like making movies. I love making movies and to make this movie (Mission Impossible) into a series. I always wanted to do this and its good to be here. I just hope everyone likes the movie.” Cruise, who arrived in the country yesterday and will leave for Dubai tonight, said he felt happy when Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor was signed up for the film.  “We were happy working with him. We were happy when he came on board the movie,” he said.

Commenting on the third sequel of the MI series, the actor said, “My character is pretty much the same. The obstacles, (the battle between hero and villain) are same. I still love the story and it feels nice to take the story forward. I love telling stories.”

On the challenges of being a producer of such a franchisee, Cruise said, “All I want to say is that I just want to tell a story whatever may be the genre. All I try to do is make a good film that everyone likes and feels excited about. I hope my latest movie ‘Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' brings a smile on everyone's face.”

In a reference to a stunt scene in the film in which he is shown jumping from atop the 2,723 ft Burj Khalifa—the world's tallest building, the actor said he was not afraid of heights but falling down.

“No, I'm not scared of heights but I'm afraid to fall. I was just hoping that I don't fall,” he said.

Cruise, who was clad in a blue shirt over a white T-shirt and a pair of denims, walked the red carpet. He signed autographs, got friendly with his fans and also posed for them.

He was accompanied by co-actress Paula Patton and Anil Kapoor, who plays the role of business tycoon Brij Nath in the film.

The screening held at IMAX in suburban Wadala was attended among others by celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Abbas-Mustan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Dhanush of ‘Kolaveri-di' fame.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' will release across theatres in India on December 16.
