London, Dec 22: Billboard has named U2 as having the highest earning tour in their end of year charts. According to the magazine, the rock band's ‘360' tour earned a total gross of $293,281,487.
They had already been named Top Touring Artist at the Billboard Awards in May. Second place on Billboard's “Top 25 Tours” chart were rock band Bon Jovi taking in almost $200 million.
They were closely followed by UK hit makers Take That with more than $185 million.
Billboard's “Top 25 Tours” chart is ranked by gross and compiled from boxscores reported 10 November 2010 through to 8 November 2011.
The top ten artists on the list are as follows:
