The Disney character Tinker Bell got her own Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Tuesday (21 September). Tinker Bell stars in a new straight-to-home video movie "Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue," starring the voices of Mae Whitman, Raven Symone and Michael Sheen.
"On behalf of the Walt Disney Studio and the Walt Disney Company, I am very, very, very proud to be here to honor Tinker Bell today with her star on the Walk of Fame," the film's director Bradley Raymond said.
"She has been the most beloved and iconic character since 1953 when she first appeared in Walt Disney's 'Peter Pan.'" A series of four straight-to-home video animated movies are set for Disney's new "Tinker Bell" series.
The star is near Disney's El Capitan theatre in Hollywood and is the 2,418th star on the Walk of Fame. AP
