Los Angeles, Jan 29: Chilean director Sebastian Silva returned to captivate the jury at the Sundance Film Festival four years after "La Nana" with his latest film "Crystal Fairy", which walked away with the Directing Award in the World Cinema Dramatic category.

The Hispano-Polish coproduction "Lasting" beat the rest of the foreign entries at the independent film festival for Cinematography, though the big winners in the competition as a whole were the American movies "Fruitvale" and "Blood Brother".

"Fruitvale", which relates the drama surrounding the murder of a young African-American in the US, took both the jury and audience awards in the Dramatic category of US films, among which "Blood Brother" was the top documentary with the story of a man who leaves everything behind to live in India among the most underprivileged.

The South Korean production "Jiseul" won the jury's prize in the World Cinema Dramatic competition, thought this time the audience disagreed with the judges and gave its prize in that category to "Metro Manila".

The World Cinema Grand Jury Prize was taken by the creators of the Cambodian production "A River Changes Course".
