New Delhi: Actor Sean Penn starrer action-thriller "The Gunman" will release in India March 20.
Based on the bestselling novel "The Prone Gunman" by Jean-Patrick Manchette, the film revolves around Penn's character a former Special Forces soldier and military contractor suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). He tries to reconnect with his longtime love, but first must go on the run from London to Barcelona and across Europe in order to clear his name.
Penn is making his debut in the action genre with "The Gunman" at the age of 54, said a statement.
Directed by Pierre Morel, the film also stars Javier Bardem and Jasmine Trinca in pivotal roles.
"The Gunman" will be distributed in India by PVR Pictures.
