Los Angeles, Feb 16: Romantic hair will be all the rage at the 84th annual Academy Awards on Sunday, 26 February 2012 in the Hollywood section of Los Angeles.
So says celebrity hair stylist Enzo Milano.
Oscar winner Charlize Theron, a Vogue cover girl, has been working with one Milano for the last decade for all her red carpet hair hits.
“It was amazing to work with Charlize at the Golden Globes,” said Milano “It was amazing to work with her even, it is amazing all the time. Quite honestly because she is so beautiful, you can't go wrong. The look that we gave for the Golden Globe, it was ethereal. This Dior dress that she was wearing was all flowy and very light fabric. We went into the Dior archives to look at a design, a similar design of this dress, that they have done it many years earlier. We found a great image, then we really inspired into that. Then Cartier gave us this incredible tiara. Which wasn't a tiara, it was really a headband. So that came from the Cartier Museum in Geneva.”
Milano's male celebrity clients include Oscar nominee George Clooney and Tom Cruise. He says men are more straight forward when it comes to their style.
“They are fantastic people to work with,” said Milano. “They have a very defined look. You don't need to think too hard. You know where you are going for, and so those are amazing experiences for me.”
The Academy will crown its winners in less than two weeks and it's on that red carpet where hair trends for the rest of the year will be set.
“The trend that I see this upcoming Oscar day, it's more romantic, I think it's going to be romantic,” said Milano. “We are all going to see always up-do, down. Usually the Oscar it's a little more groomed, more attention is paid to details. The shine and the glamour has to be there.”
