London, Oct 15: British singer Leona Lewis says she used to send letters to people she had a crush on.
The 27-year-old, who was recently romantically linked to One Direction hunk Liam Payne, admits she used to be shy when it came to guys, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"I used to write letters to guys I liked rather than approach them directly because I was too embarrassed," she said.
Lewis also recommends looking for eye contact with a man as one of the "best ways of knowing if they are interested".
