New York, July 7: Singer Lady Gaga seems to have left her Twitter page as her profile image has been replaced by the generic egg. Her bio also says that it has been shut down.
However there are also rumours of pre-marketing campaign for her new song.
Gaga, whose album "Artpop" is reportedly set to release later in 2013, is the second most-followed person on the site, with just under 39 million followers.
"This interface has been shut down temporarily. Please check back for updates," says a short bio on the site, reports entertainmentwise.com.
Along with removal of profile image, all of her own tweets since Feb 6 have been deleted. However, a few retweets from fans are still visible.
Some fans believe that it's part of a pre-release marketing campaign for her new song.
It is also rumoured that emails from label Interscope have contained the line: "COMING SOON: LADY GAGA!", (sic) with August expected to be the month that the new music is launched.
