Los Angeles, Jan 24: Singer-actor Justin Timberlake has confirmed he will perform live for the first time in more than five years at a pre-Super Bowl party Feb 2.
The "Friends With Benefits" actor, who married girlfriend of four years Jessica Biel in Italy in October last year, will appear at an invite-only charity bash, which will benefit the Shriners Hospitals For Children, hosted by cable company DirectTV, at the DTV Superfan Stadium in New Orleans.
The concert comes just weeks after the six-time Grammy Award winner, released his new collaboration featuring Jay-Z. He also confirmed he plans to release his third album "The 20/20 Experience" later this year.
Timberlake, who took a break to focus on his acting career, wrote an open letter to his fans announcing "Suit and Tie", his hit new single and talking about his inspiration and the making of the album.
"So, here goes: This year is an exciting one for me. As you probably have heard through the 'grapevine,'
I am gearing up for a big 2013. Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called music," he posted.
"The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I have had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process," he further posted.
