Los Angeles: Singer Justin Bieber has apologised for his arrogant behaviour in the past year in a video.
The 20-year-old shared the video on his Facebook page Wednesday night, after he made an appearance on the talk sow “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, reports aceshowbiz.com.
“Here we go,” Bieber captioned the video.
In the video, the “Baby” hitmaker says: “So, I just wanted to make a video because I wanted to express how I feel right now. Uh, so today, I was on 'Ellen' and it was a lot of fun. She's amazing. It was her birthday. Happy Birthday, Ellen!
“But I was really nervous because I'm just, I was afraid of what people are thinking about me right now.”
Further Bieber explained: “It's been a minute since I've done a public appearance and I didn't want to come off arrogant or conceited or basically how I've been acting the past year, year and a half.
“And I was, I'm not who I was pretending to be. Why I say pretending is often, we pretend to be something we're not as a cover up of what we're truly feeling inside. And there were a lot of feelings going on in there.”
Bieber said that he felt “awkward” when audience on the show were judging him wrongly.
“I'm a person who genuinely cares and although what's happened in the past has happened, I just want to make the best impression on people and be kind and loving and gentle and soft and although people can call me a 'softy,' that's how my mom raised me,” he said.
Bieber also posted a photograph of him and Ellen DeGeneres on her show. He captioned it, “Good seeing u today The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Happy birthday! Sorry I was so nervous.”
