Hollywood actress Julia Roberts' final outing in the country was amidst speeding cars and bikes in Haryana as she wrapped up the shooting of 'Eat, Pray, Love' in India.

"Around 40-50 cars and bikes were racing in the service lane and Julia was sitting in one of the cars for a scene," a source told PTI.

The 41-year-old actress, who landed in New Delhi on September 17 to shoot for her upcoming movie 'Eat, Pray, Love' left the country on Friday evening. The actress is now headed for Bali in Indonesia where she will shoot the final leg of the film.

"It was a market and traffic scene with the shooting going for 12 hours. It started at 8 in the night and went on till 8 in the morning on Wednesday and Thursday. However, Julia was there only on the first day," the source said.

Prior to shooting here, the crew had mostly done the filming in Pataudi at the Ashram Hari Mandir and in the nearby Mirzapur village.

"Local shops were opened till night and chat stalls were also put up to make it look like a typical Indian market," the source added.

Roberts stayed at the Pataudi Palace hotel with her three kids, four-and-a-half-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and two-year-old son Henry, since she landed in the country.

The locals too were ecstatic with the presence of the Hollywood superstar and even the odd shooting times didn't refrain them from gathering in huge numbers.

"The set was bustling with hordes of people. Apart from the locals, a number of construction workers also gathered to catch a glimpse of Julia," an onlooker said.

The locals were also employed as extras and were overjoyed with the actress shooting here.

"We were aware of her presence because we have been reading in the local papers about the shooting going on in Pataudi and seen pictures of her. We are really happy that she came here to shoot for the film," a villager said.

The movie directed by Ryan Murphy, also stars Oscar winner Javier Bardem, Billy Crudup and Richard Jenkins.  Based on the memoirs of US author Elizabeth Gilbert, the film depicts the journey of a woman, who travels around the world in search of love and peace. PTI
