Los Angeles: Actor-director Jon Favreau says he wants to make movies which whet the appetite of the audience constantly seeking new technology.
Speaking on a short film created for the latest instalment of Stella Artois "Connoisseurs Series", the "Iron Man" director said: “I want to blow people's minds. I want the audience to be rewarded for betting on us when they buy a ticket”.
"Connoisseurs Series" is a collection of video portraits looking into the world of quality craftsmanship.
“But for the filmmakers for the actors and for the people putting on the circus show, they want to bring down the house. When you hit something just right and the whole crowd as one responds, that's a really exhilarating feeling."
Favreau, who starred in “Chef” alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, further explained how the changes in the film industry have affected his approach towards filmmaking, reports contactmusic.com.
“Audiences always want the new technology. So our form, our technology, is changed to something that makes a big splash in a big way, with 3D on a big screen.
“That whole art imitating life, echoing life is part of the dance that filmmakers have with our culture, that I love,” he added.
