Los Angeles, Aug 7: Actor Johnny Depp says that too much expectation led to the failure of his recent movie "Lone Ranger".
Directed by Gore Verbinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the story of the movie revolves around John Reid (Armie Hammer) a masked hero, who is out to right the wrongs, and his constant Indian sidekick Tonto played by Johnny Depp.
"I think the reviews were written seven to eight months before we released the film," Variety magazine quoted Depp as saying.
"I think the reviews were written when they heard Gore (Verbinski) and Jerry (Bruckheimer] and me were going to do 'The Lone Ranger'. They had expectations that it must be a blockbuster," he said.
However, Depp does not have any expectations from his movies.
"I didn't have any expectations of that. I never do," he said.
