Los Angeles: Actor John Stamos is bereft after the death of his mother Loretta Phillips Stamos.
The 51-year-old, known for his work in popular sitcom "Full House", shared the news through a post on photo-sharing website Instagram Tuesday, reports people.com.
"The love of my life passed away yesterday (Sep 22) in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren," Stamos wrote alongside a childhood photograph of his mother holding him.
"My mother had enough love to fuel a small country. She was truly one of a kind and will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her," he added.
Stamos also asked those wishing to reach out at this time to support The Vanguard Cancer Foundation - the charity founded by his mother.
