Hollywood starlet Mischa Barton who was left unemployed after the cancellation of her much hyped TV series 'The Beautiful Life' does not seem to have taken the news well as she wandered the streets of New York looking dejected.
The 'OC' actress who was involuntarily held in a psychiatric ward in the month of June following an emotional break down had recovered quickly but with her show being cancelled after just two episodes, Barton seems to be on the verge of another meltdown, reported New York Post online.
The 23-year-old walked and talked on her mobile, and at one point was spotted with her head in her hands.
Dressed in a striped black and white dress with a jacket and plenty of gothic jewellery, the actress hailed a cab as soon as she noticed the photographers trailing her.
'The Beautiful Life' where Barton played a drug addicted supermodel was produced by Ashton Kutcher and co-starred Elle Macpherson.
The CW network decided to axe the show after it generated just 1 million viewers, less than a third of the number of followers Kutcher currently has on Twitter.
