London, Sept 2: Hollywood is on alert now a days for two different reasons involving security.
First of all, the moves by the mysterious but clearly vindictive Hollywood Leaks hackers — revealing film plot details, stars' personal cell phone numbers and private photos — have a lot of people wondering, “Will I be next?”
Already Hollywood Leaks has posted the working script for Tom Cruise's “Rock of Ages” musical, private photos of Julianne Hough, more revealing old sexy shots of “Gucci Gucci” rapper Kreayshawn and the phone numbers of stars ranging from Miley Cyrus to Ryan Seacrest.
“Even though the shots of Julianne were nothing embarrassing, it's creepy to see them — considering they were taken by personal friends and not intended to be revealed to the public in any way,” said a Hough friend Thursday.
† More serious are the rumors about a potential terrorist attack on Tinseltown — tied to the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
Sources indicate that plans are in place to add massive amounts of security to such iconic Los Angeles sites as the Hollywood sign, Disneyland, the Santa Monica Pier, the Queen Mary (anchored in Long Beach harbor) — plus all the major film studios.
“There have been indications one or more rogue Muslim groups — who see Hollywood as typifying all that is evil and decadent in immoral American society — might try and make a statement on Sept. 11th,” said a veteran L.A. security pro. “Everyone is going to be extra vigilant on that day.”
† While a number of top stars also have indicated they are nervous about the upcoming anniversary, many will be in Toronto — for that important film festival, where the security measures I've heard also have been tightened this year.
