Los Angeles,TV star Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill are devastated after a surrogate mother carrying her child suffered a miscarriage.
The E! News host Giuliana and Bill turned to a woman named Delphine, who carried their son Edward Duke in 2012, for the second child, but it has now emerged that she lost the baby in the ninth week, reports people.com.
Bill, who appears on a reality TV show with his wife, said: "This whole season (of reality show) Giuliana and Bill we've been trying to have another baby.”
"Unfortunately our surrogate Delphine, who we love very much, had a miscarriage. It's something that we didn't see coming. We were devastated. She was about nine weeks pregnant. We were pretty close to getting into the safe zone.
"We experienced a miscarriage years ago when we were trying with Giuliana, so we had been keeping the pregnancy news tight to the vest,” added Rancic.
The couple turned to surrogacy after struggling to conceive naturally.
